Amsterdam Schiphol Airport is well connected by an extensive network of city, regional and shuttle buses, offering a reliable and budget-friendly way to travel to Amsterdam and nearby cities.
Bus transport is one of the most economical options from Schiphol. However, if you are traveling with heavy luggage, it may be less convenient compared to train or taxi services.
The Amsterdam Airport Express (Bus 397) is the best overall option for most travelers heading to the city.

Amsterdam Airport Express (Bus 397)
This is the most popular and recommended bus service from Schiphol Airport. It offers a direct and comfortable connection to key areas in Amsterdam.

This bus does NOT stop at Amsterdam Central Station. For Central Station, consider the train.
Night Bus N97
The N97 follows the same route as Bus 397 but operates during nighttime hours, making it ideal for late arrivals or early departures.

Bus 69 (Budget Option)
Bus 69 connects Schiphol Airport with Sloterdijk Station, where passengers can transfer to trains heading to Amsterdam Central Station.
